Terms and Conditions

a. Booking

With the booking of our services (tours, transfers, etc, …) and a written confirmation (e-mail or sms) by Rikschatours Salzburg the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) become valid. Verbal agreements regarding the placing of orders as well as order changes are invalid without written approval/confirmation by Rikschatours Salzburg.

b. Payment

If no other written conditions have been agreed upon, the following applies: Each tour / driving service will be settled with the respective driver at the end. However, Rikschatours Salzburg reserves the right to charge reservation fees, which are caused by point (d), directly.

c. Compliance with time & place

The customer has to appear at the agreed time at the agreed place. The driver is not obliged to add the duration of delays. The rickshaw and the driver are reserved for a certain period of time – this begins with the agreed date and ends after the agreed duration. The period for which the service has been reserved must also be paid.

d. Non-appearance of the customer

If the client has not shown up 15 min after the agreed date and time or has contacted the organizer, the driver can accept other clients. In addition, in case of no-show, the driver may charge the customer up to 100% of the tour price (minus any deposits already paid). In this case, the personal data of the customer required for this purpose may be passed on to the driver.

e. Cancellation

The cancellation fees refer to the total amount to be paid to the driver after the tour and which was communicated at the time of the reservation confirmation.

The booked tour can be cancelled up to four days before the start of the tour without giving any reason.

If a client changes or cancels the reservation within four days before the start of the tour, but still 24 hours before the start of the tour, 20% of the total amount will be charged by Rikschatours Salzburg. Minor changes (postponement of the tour to another time on the same day, change of pick-up location, etc.) will not be charged.

In case of cancellation from five hours before the start of the tour and up to one hour before the start of the tour, 100% of the total amount will be charged by Rikschatours Salzburg.

In case of cancellation from one hour before the start of the tour and until the start of the tour, the driver can charge the guest 100% of the total amount. In this case, the personal data of the customer required for this purpose may be passed on to the driver.

f. Contact possibility & cancellation on the part of the organizer

If the weather conditions make the trip dangerous or impossible (snowfall, heavy rain, or wind), Rikschatours Salzburg will contact the customer to consider a postponement. If this is not possible, any payments already made will be refunded in full. Contact information must be provided by the customer at the time of booking. On the day of the reservation, the customer should be available for consultation.

g. Luggage

The customer has to stow his luggage in such a way that it does not touch the ground, obstruct the wheels or restrict the driver’s view. The instructions of the driver must be followed. No liability can be accepted for damage to luggage caused by carelessness (grazing backpack straps, blocking walking sticks, etc.). The customer is solely liable for items left behind such as luggage or clothing.

h. Delays due to external factors

If delays occur during a transfer due to traffic jams, accidents, technical defects, or congestion of roads, Rikschatours Salzburg is not liable for reaching the train or flight.

i. Handlebar

The bicycle rickshaw may only be driven by the renter (driver) himself or by another person included in the rental contract. The renter is liable for the actions of persons to whom he has left the vehicle – with or without the consent of Rikschatours Salzburg – as well as for his own actions. The instructions of the driver must be followed.

j. Insurance

The rented vehicle is insured under the usual insurance conditions in Austria as well as with the minimum insurance sum valid for Austria. The insurance covers both personal injury and property damage to third parties.

k. General Provisions

This contract shall be governed by Austrian law to the exclusion of its international rules of reference. The obligation of the renter to comply with the locally applicable law when traveling abroad remains unaffected. Verbal side agreements do not exist or become invalid with the signing of the contract. Changes, also to this provision, must be made in writing.

Place of jurisdiction

Place of jurisdiction: District court A-5020 Salzburg. Business language is German. The general terms and conditions are accepted by any form of booking and use of any service of Rikschatours Salzburg.
